Claire is the Founder of Apex Ability, a multi-award-winning Speech and Language Therapy practice on London’s highly regarded Harley Street in the UK.

Her broad experience in hospitals, community health centres, schools, rehabilitation centres, care homes, charities, and independent practices, enables her to support people in a wide variety of settings.

Claire has returned to Queensland, where she’s working online to support both adults and children. She has the resources and skills to successfully engage clients online to achieve excellent results. In addition to her clinical work, Claire has provided online education sessions to 5000+ parents/guardians/educators globally so far.

Claire is a neurodiversity-affirming speech pathologist who utilises a strengths-based, person-centred approach that supports self-advocacy, and respects each individual’s unique communication style.

She gains pleasure from creating opportunities for others to thrive.

Churchill Fellowship:

In 2012 Claire was the first Speech and Language Therapist in the UK to be awarded a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to visit Canada and the U.S.A.  Her goal was to learn more about how music can be used within speech and language therapy, particularly following brain injuries/strokes. Claire has since worked collaboratively with Neurologic Music Therapists, running workshops and presenting at conferences, nationally and internationally.  She liaises with a worldwide network of music therapy and speech therapy professionals.

Voice Specialist:

As a choral singer, Claire has gained specialist skills as a voice therapist, working with professional voice users (including teachers, sports coaches, radio announcers, call centre staff, and singers).

Claire has worked with performers in London’s West End and provides workshops on Vocal Heath to professional voice users. She is regularly booked for school inset days to support teachers in preventing voice difficulties.
